Gender Sensitization

Gender workshops encourage reflections on the gender roles, gender equality between daughters and sons, and forms of conditioning and violence.

Democratic leadership trainings bring together men and women and help (male) village chiefs reflect on leadership styles and the benefits of democratising their villages.

Legal Awareness

Legal awareness sessions for women have led some who are dissatisfied with customary verdicts of village courts to approach us for help in pursuing the legal route. We offer comprehensive legal aid and psychosocial counselling.

Livelihoods

Interest-free loans help women set up and/or scale up bakeries, tailoring units, and handicrafts; some of them have succeeded and in turn hired other women.

Affordable solar energy solutions, with easy repayments, benefit students, weavers and artisans who pursue their crafts for subsistence.

Community and Culture

Mixed-gender, mixed-ethnic workshops with Community Based Organisations help participants think about questions of identity, peace, justice gender and development

Cultural programs bring different communities together to share indigenous stories, food and games.

Mental Health

Mental health sensitization for youth helps them learn coping mechanisms. Such efforts also address suicidal ideation. Our youth asked us to conduct such sessions for their parents as well, and we have started doing just that!

Ultimate

The sport of Ultimate for girls and young women creates a safe space to play this self-refereed game with in-built conflict resolution mechanisms, and encourages mutual respect. It is a portal to examine gender roles and create leaders.

Children Clubs

Children club meetings at the village-level bring together children for joyful activities where they explore aspects of conscious citizenry.
